  • HOSTILITY TO ART
Plato doesn't believe in art since it does not reveal its real message to the viewer and its truest meaning; the philosophy's role is to unveil the idea in it. He believes that the universe can only be explained through logical processes and therefore, it needs intelligent thinking.

  • Plato: Beauty is an "Idea"
The thinking of Plato and Aristotle contain concepts related to aesthetics and art, two of which are form and content. Although, Plato believes in imitation being concerned with "Ideal Forms" that are displayed in the "harmony, order. and balance of the natural world", while Aristotle differs on this point.
